A unique story
Une adresse installée dans un hôtel iconique en activité depuis 1866, témoin du Lyon d’hier et d’aujourd’hui entre la rue Auguste Comte, la rue de la Charité, la rue Ferrandière, la rue Grolée ou la fameuse rue Mercière.
À ses débuts, ce n’était qu’une petite cuisine de petit-déjeuner, nichée dans l’enceinte de l’hôtel Globe et Cecil. Loïc Renart, actuel propriétaire, se souvient encore des effluves de gâteau au chocolat qui l’accueillaient à son retour de l’école. Des souvenirs simples, sincères, qui sentent bon l’enfance et la générosité.
In 2018, he decided to take up a challenge: to shatter preconceived ideas about hotel restaurants, too often deemed bland or impersonal. He turned it into a neighborhood restaurant, inhabited by a real team, real know-how, and a real desire to receive well. Since then, Comptoir Cecil has conquered the hearts and stomachs of the Lyonnais, becoming a discreet but sought-after address, a place to return to for the taste of good food, quite simply.
Since then, we’ve kept our taste for beautiful materials, simple encounters and well-crafted dishes, with increasingly elaborate plates that reflect the expertise of our brigade.
